We seek to structure our processes and procedures as efficiently as possible in order to contribute to the success of the company and to facilitate the work of our employees. We aim to tap our improvement potential. WikIdee, the employee suggestion programme, has become an extremely successful example established in 1998 and made available online in 2007. In 2011 the programme migrated to a wiki platform.
This system gives all Commerzbank employees the opportunity to submit ideas for the improvement of work processes and products and, if they wish, to discuss them online with colleagues. Various cash and non-cash prizes are awarded for good ideas. If a suggested improvement is implemented, up to 25 per cent of the amount saved in the first year as a result of the idea is paid out as a reward.
The Ideas Management Centre umbrella organisation (part of the German Institute for Ideas and Innovations Management) awarded WikIdee the accolade 'best ideas management 2013' in the banking and insurance sector. The expert judges were particularly impressed by the opportunity to discuss and vote on ideas on an online platform. They also highlighted the high level of acceptance enjoyed by ideas management among employees and managers. German trade journal "Human Resources Manager" has also bestowed its Excellence Award 2013 on our ideas platform in the knowledge management category.
