Commerzbank the only German bank in STOXX® Global ESG Leaders Index

As of immediately Commerzbank is the only German bank listed in the STOXX® Global ESG Leaders Index. Thus the Bank ranks among the leading group of 300 companies worldwide to distinguish themselves by taking into account environmental, social and governance criteria, the so-called ESG criteria, in their entrepreneurial activities on a comprehensive scale.

“That we are the only German bank represented in the STOXX® Global ESG Leaders Index is an external confirmation of the major significance attached to the issue of sustainability at Commerzbank,” says Rüdiger Senft, head of Corporate Responsibility at Commerzbank.

To become a member of the STOXX® Global ESG Leaders Index according to the ESG criteria a company has to belong to the top 25 per cent of companies from the investment universe of the underlying STOXX® Global 1800 Index.

Commerzbank is also represented in the sustainability indices ECPI Ethical EMU Equity, ECPI Ethical Euro Equity and Euronext Vigeo Eurozone 120.
