Summary:

  • On 13 and 14 October, colleagues from different countries and divisions came together in Warsaw for the Global Courage Conference 2026.
  • Together with mBank, the focus was on dialogue, networking and new perspectives.
  • Workshops, a keynote and a panel discussion explored Courage, collaboration and future skills in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • The conference showed that the future is created when people share knowledge, embrace diverse perspectives and courageously explore new paths.

What do we need to successfully create the future of our working world? Courage, new skills and, above all, dialogue with one another. That was precisely the focus of the Global Courage Conference 2026, which took place in Warsaw on 13 and 14 October.

Together with mBank, colleagues from different divisions and countries came together to network, learn from one another and gain new perspectives. The two conference days focused on three topics that shape our collaboration today and in the future: Courage, collaboration and future skills.

From an idea to an AI slogan in one hour

The AI workshop on the first day of the conference clearly showed how quickly creative ideas can emerge from new technologies. Working in different groups, participants developed AI-generated advertising slogans in a very short time.

The main aim was to try out new applications, learn from one another and think differently together. The workshop demonstrated how technology can support creativity and collaboration.

In the afternoon, the focus turned to the skills of tomorrow. In his keynote on Future Skills, Matthias Ziener from Google provided important inspiration: What skills do we need to collaborate successfully in an increasingly dynamic working environment and actively help shape change?

These questions were then explored further in a panel discussion. Sabine Mlnarsky, Simone Heeg, Agnieszka Kreciszewska from Caparol Polska, Julia Nusser from mBank and Andrzej Trzesicki from Remondis discussed which skills and mindsets can help employees approach change constructively and seize new opportunities.

Beyond the official programme, the conference also provided space for personal conversations and new connections. During the joint evening event, participants were able to exchange ideas across countries and divisions.

Rethinking collaboration

The second day of the conference began with an introduction to mOna, mBank’s Employee Resource Group for women. In the subsequent workshop, the focus once again turned to the future: together, participants developed ideas on what future forms of collaboration could look like.

One idea ran through both conference days: the future is not created in isolation within individual teams or divisions. It is created where people share their knowledge, bring together different perspectives and have the courage to try something new.

Courage comes alive through dialogue

The Global Courage Conference 2026 showed what Courage can mean in practice: approaching one another openly, learning from one another and developing new ideas together.

The international exchange with colleagues strengthens networking within the Commerzbank Group and creates space for fresh inspiration and personal encounters. Courage, openness and cross-divisional collaboration are important building blocks for actively creating our shared future.

Or, to put it briefly: Courage begins with the willingness to embrace new perspectives – and grows stronger when we share them with one another.
