Summary:

  • Commerzbank's ComShare employee share programme makes its employees co-owners. In autumn 2025, free shares worth around €500 were distributed
  • The aim of the programme is to strengthen loyalty to the bank
  • Commerzbank employees can participate in the company's business development through the employee share programme

Wouldn't it be great to not only work for a company, but to be directly involved in it? That's exactly what we offer our colleagues with ComShare, the employee share programme. Being a co-owner means taking responsibility together as a team and actively shaping the future of the company.

The concept behind ComShare is very simple: colleagues who have worked at the bank for at least one year receive shares that make them direct co-owners. In the first step, there was the opportunity to receive free shares worth around €500 in autumn 2025. From 2026 onwards, there will also be the option to purchase shares worth up to €1,500 and receive additional Commerzbank bonus shares worth up to €500.

A gift with no strings attached: free shares worth around €500

To participate, you must have a securities account with Commerzbank or comdirect. The securities account is free of charge thanks to the annual employee rebate. It applies to most financial products, from securities accounts to current accounts.

"These benefits go beyond the purely financial aspect – ComShare strengthens the bond with the bank and underlines the culture of trust that defines us as Team Yellow", says Dunja Schuck, who is responsible for the programme in the Human Resources department. "ComShare makes a strong statement: this is not just a place to work, it's a place to belong."

Gaining experience with shares

ComShare is one of many offers with which we appeal not only to experienced professionals, but also to apprentices, trainees and dual students. ‘For those just starting their careers in particular, this is an opportunity to gain their first career experience and also start investing on the stock market,’ says Dunja Schuck. This includes regularly checking your securities account, following prices and sharing in the excitement.
