Infrastructure and security for a forward-looking Bank
Organisation and Security are concerned with the infrastructure and security of the Bank. The core tasks include, among other things, the overall Bank governance and regulatory affairs, space management, purchasing and physical security. Additionally, organisational services, services, and support measures are provided for the entire organisation. Overall Bank projects with a strong link to the organisation are also processed here. In this division you develop innovative, resource-conserving and sustainable solutions for colleagues and clients.

The Cluster Corporate Platforms develops and operates the latest technical solutions which promote the Group. The focus is on the automating and digitising of processes, as well as on ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements for all products and workflows. The Cluster supports various organisational units – from the Bank organisation to building and spatial organisation to authorisation management and procurement. Great value is placed on physical and digital safety and security in order to be user-friendly, cost-efficient, and offer compliant solutions. Constant improvement and transparency are at the centre of the work. Due to the close cooperation with other departments, innovation and efficiency are promoted throughout the entire company, which creates a dynamic and future-oriented work environment.

The Corporate Procurement division sets binding standards for procurement throughout the entire Commerzbank Group and ensures that cost-efficient and qualitative, high-value articles are purchased. Costs, quality and risk of the supplier relationships are optimised, with sustainability playing an important role. Due to smart processes and continuous innovations, the division offers optimal solutions for the Group. In close cooperation with internal, specialised units, tendering and negotiations are taken on in order to guarantee legally compliant contracts with the price-performance ratio.

The Corporate Real Estate Management division is responsible for the active management of real estate and the development of modern workplace and branch concepts. Future-oriented workplaces and innovative branch models are designed with a great emphasis on environmental friendliness and ecological sustainability. The division’s aspiration is to practically implement innovations and deliver turnkey solutions which convince both the employees and the clients and can be realised cost-efficiently.

Corporate Services is responsible for the central service function within the Bank and offers comprehensive support for internal domestic and foreign clients. The division is concerned with space and relocation management as well as the provision of an IT and telecommunications infrastructure at the domestic locations of the Commerzbank AG. Additionally, nationwide rollouts in the branch and infrastructure area are controlled and the provision of organisational as well as security-relevant tasks for foreign branches guaranteed. The client service has top priority here, with the aim being continuous improvement and further development of products and processes with a strong focus on digitising and sustainable resource utilisation.

The Governance and Development division designs the strategy of the Group division and ensures that it agrees with the overall goals of the Bank. Due to the support of overarching projects and the implementation of innovative work methods, the Group is successfully guided through a constantly changing environment. As the standard setter for governance topics, the division guarantees certainty of action and defines clear requirements for the organisational structure of the Group. Additionally, the operative business operation coordinates and bundles strategic cross-divisional functions on a global level.

The Physical Security and Board Services division ensures the safety of persons and objects of the Commerzbank Group and offers comprehensive support for the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board, including the organisation of the General Meeting and the provision of Board of Directors drivers. Additionally, the division monitors branch security, property protection and controls nationwide the company‘s restaurants, including the Board of Directors‘ canteen. In addition, safety guidelines and procedural instructions are developed and communicated, such as safety training, alarm follow-up and the operation of the security centre.
