Integrity is deeply rooted in our corporate culture and requires each individual to act responsibly so that his or her activities for the bank are in compliance with the relevant laws, voluntary commitments and internal guidelines. The globally binding Code of Conduct provides employees with guidance for correct and ethical behavior in their daily work. Compliance activities focus on preventing and detecting money laundering, terrorist financing, market abuse (insider trading and market manipulation), fraud, corruption and other criminal activities in the business environment, as well as investor protection. We expanded these to include diversity & inclusion aspects in 2022. Commerzbank’s business model does not aim to be present in tax havens. As of the end of 2020, no branch was located in a location that is on the “Common EU List of Third Countries for Tax Purposes”.
