From nutritional advice to stress management seminars, Commerzbank's multifaceted workplace health management (WHM) goes well beyond the minimum legal requirements. We are responsible for the welfare of the people we employ. The aim of our WHM is to support every aspect of employees' physical and mental health as well as their social well-being. This includes taking account of the changed requirements of day-to-day work and longer working lives. We focus on four areas: nutrition, physical activity, stress management and addiction prevention.
We offer employees a wide range of information and training on health-related issues. We provide financial support, for example to pay for attending professional stress management seminars. Our campaigns, such as 'five a day' for healthy eating and 'cycle to work', plus the many company sports at Commerzbank also motivate our employees to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
In 2009, WHM at Commerzbank received the Corporate Health Award for innovative concepts and ideas. We came second in Personalwirtschaft magazine's German HR awards in 2011. And in 2013, Commerzbank became the first company in Germany to be certified in accordance with the TÜV Süd corporate health standard for its exemplary WHM.
