Kicking for a good cause Kicking for a good cause

Since 2002 Commerzbank employees compete in the “Commerzbank Reverse Kicker Charity-Cup” to raise money in favor of the “Help for cancer suffering children Frankfurt association”. The donation amount is closely linked to the game success of the participating teams, because every goal and win bring money to the organization. Furthermore, every team supports the good cause through its participation fee. People from investment banks and law firms take part in the Charity-Cup. Up until 2019 almost 650,000 euros were raised and donated in total.

The “Help for cancer suffering children association”, supported by the collected donations, improves the medical, nursing and psychosocial situation of children with cancer and their families in Frankfurt through concrete projects and offers of assistance.

In Germany around 2,000 children and adolescents develop cancer every year. The aim of this association is to improve the conditions of young patients and their family in the inpatient and outpatient sector, as well as to provide psychosocial and financial assistance. In order to continue the necessary work, the association is reliant on every form of help and grateful for the support received from the “Charity-Cup”.
