Through its partnership cooperation with the German Football Association (DFB), Commerzbank clearly expresses its commitment to promoting the most popular sport in Germany and to its fans. The broad arrangement of the association enables our Bank to get involved at all levels of football – from the street tournament and school tournament, via cooperation with local clubs, up to providing large event assistance. The Bank's close relationship with the DFB expresses itself, among other things, through the joint values of fairness, good performance, respect, partnership and team spirit – values which are also shared by Commerzbank.

Partner of the women's and men's national teams

As the official premium-partner of DFB and its men's national teams, Commerzbank belongs to an exclusive circle of six equal-ranking sponsors. A more extensive commitment has only been shown by the long-standing general sponsor Mercedes-Benz and the equipment supplier Adidas. As the main-partner of women´s national team Commerzbank underlines its involvement in women´s football.

Partner of the DFB qualification offensive

In addition, Commerzbank supports the DFB qualification offensive. Together with the association, we draw up measures designed so enable sport clubs better to promote young talented players. These measures include sport-oriented training courses, seminars on financial topics or campaigns in schools. We thereby significantly contribute to taking the work of clubs forward quite a bit in Germany, on both a regional and nation-wide level.

Partner of DFB-Junior-Coach

Strengthen football´s base and personality for a positive future in sports and professional terms – with these goals the project “DFB-Junior-Coach” started in 2013. Throughout Germany, Commerzbank supports about 4,000 junior coaches each year.
