Capital increase in Commerzbank officially registered

The previously announced capital increase in Commerzbank by Italy's Assicurazioni Generali, Triest, excluding subscription rights for shareholders, was officially registered with the Frankfurt court's Handelsregister on September 28. Generali paid around EUR 608m (EUR 36.82 per share) for the 16.5m Commerzbank shares.

The official registration was first possible after the Landgericht Frankfurt rejected a shareholder's temporary restraining order opposed to the capital increase.
